INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

 

General Instructions

The article must be written in Spanish or English. Title, summary and keywords must be presented in both English and Spanish, and should preferably not consider words included in the title. The list of authors should be restricted only to those who have made significant contributions to the research. The length of the article should be between 10 and 15 pages, respecting the format of the template, which is briefly summarized below. The number of figures (images, photographs) will be reduced to the minimum strictly necessary. Too many figures will be considered negatively in the evaluation. Photographs must be high resolution (minimum 300dpi) and their location within the text must be clearly indicated. All figures, tables, diagrams and graphs must be presented integrated in the text.

 

Document Structure

All articles must have the following structure ordering:
TITLE. The title should be brief and explicit. Written in English and Spanish (TÍTULO)
ABSTRACT. The abstract is a very important element of the document that is submitted for evaluation, so it must meet the following requirements:
Written in English and Spanish (RESUMEN).
Should describe the work done in a few words. The author must use his ability to synthesize in order to distinguish in the abstract the important from the accessory. Highlight the most relevant points of the work and include a brief summary of the main conclusions reached, without covering them all. Create interest in the reader. The author should present those points of view or angles of the approaches of the subject, in broader contexts, so that they motivate those reading the abstract, to read the entire document. The abstract extension cannot be more than 200 words.
KEYWORDS. Maximum five words that serve as descriptors of the work. Written in English and Spanish (PALABRAS CLAVE).
INTRODUCTION. Point out what the complete work consists of, its objective, background, current state of the art, hypothesis and the proposed objectives. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Describe precisely the procedure performed to verify the hypothesis and the resources used in them.
RESULTS. Explain the product of the work clearly, you can present measurement or quantification data.
DISCUSSION. Interpret the results according to similar studies, ie correlate the results of the study with other studies, state the advantages of the study, their contributions, avoiding adjectives that praise the results.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS. Specify which results were obtained and if they allowed to fulfill the objectives, to propose perspectives of the study, the application of the results.
BIBLIOGRAPHY. List the main bibliographical sources consulted, in alphabetical order. The way to present these references will be done according to the APA style.

 

Formatting

Manuscripts must be submitted in a single file written in Microsoft Word, preferably version 2010, at least version 2007. The manuscript will be delivered "ready for publication", and must be completely (100%) in accordance with the format of the provided template: Word Template.

 

Formal Aspects

Show in the first position the name of the main author and then the other authors, adding the following information to the footer for each author: Institution, City - Country, email.
All the authors of the same Institution will share a single reference at the bottom of the first page, including a compact list of all the emails: {email1, email2, email3} @ x.y
The bibliography should be specifically related to the subject and respecting the APA format.
The article should not contain misspellings and should be written appropriately.
The elements in Spanish must be correctly translated and written.
