The ordinary session took place in the city of Quito, at the facilities of the Secretary of Higher Education Science Technology and Innovation and Ancestral Knowledge (Senescyt) with the presence of seven (7) members with the right to speak and vote. The attending members were:
- Lic. Yolanda Otavalo. Director of Scientific Accreditation (Operational Manager of the collection)
- Dr. Luis Alfonso Álvarez Rodas, representative of the Salesian Polytechnic University;
- Dr. Xavier Bolívar Lastra Bravo, representative of the Central University of Ecuador
- Dr. Diego Cisneros, representative of the San Francisco University of Quito.
- Dr. Xavier Landivar, representative of the Catholic University Santiago de Guayaquil, present on Skype
- Dr. Danilo Chávez, representative of the National Polytechnic School
- Dr. Enrique Carrera, representative of the University of the Armed Forces

During the session it was resolved:
- Approve the inclusion of a magazine one (1) magazine, which advances to the XML training stage
- Deny the entry of three (3) journals due to the non-fulfillment of the format criteria required to enter the collection.

Additionally, the updates to the document "Criteria guide for the evaluation and permanence of journals in national collections" were reviewed and approved. In the same way, the members of the Committee undertake to review the documents “Guide of good practices for the strengthening of ethics in the scientific publication”, “Evaluation guide” and the priority lines 2019, for subsequent sending of observations, comments and suggestions.
