The third session of the 2019-2021 advisory committee took place in the City of Quito, at the facilities of the Secretary of Higher Education, Orellana building; with the presence of the following members:

- Jenny Pontoon, PhD.
- Luis Álvarez, PhD. Skype
- Pedro Carretero, PhD. Skype
- Yosbanys Roque, PhD. Skype
- Verónica Cóndor, PhD. Delgada from the Higher Education Quality Assurance Council - CACES
The Committee was chaired by Lic. Yolanda Otavalo, delegate of the General Coordinator of the Committee and, as secretary, Ing. Andrea Campaña.

During the session it was resolved:
- Receive four (4) of the five (5) suggestions for modification, issued by the members of the committee to the document “Guide to journal evaluation policies and criteria for inclusion and permanence in the SciELO-Ecuador collection”.
- Welcome the three (3) suggestions for updating the document "Bases for calls for the inclusion of Ecuadorian magazines in the collection" in development "
- Improve the content evaluation form, so that external reviewers objectively comply with what is requested.
