Application process and requirements

SciELO – Scientific Electronic Library Online, is a cooperative electronic publishing tool, developed to respond to the scientific communication needs of developing countries, particularly Latin America and the Caribbean. It is currently considered the main tool for disseminating publications in Spanish and Portuguese, operating as a network of Internet libraries that allows open access to full-text scientific journals.
The SENESCYT as the national coordinating institution of SciELO-Ecuador, will maintain a permanently open call, to promote the composition of the collection, in accordance with the provisions of the “Guide to policies and evaluation criteria of journals for inclusion and permanence.” in the SciELO-Ecuador collection.”
Requirements:
• Review the "Guide of policies and evaluation criteria of journals for inclusion and permanence in the SciELO-Ecuador collection" December/2023 (in Spanish)(Download here).
• Send a request addressed to the Subsecretariat of Scientific Research (Download here)..
• Fill out and submit the evaluation form, indicating the URL of the magazine (Download here)..
• Send the digital application and the form to the email: gdocumental@senescyt.gob.ec. Documents can be sent using a Google Drive link or another tool that allows transferring large documents. If you send it via email, it is not necessary to send it physically.
